Stay updated on what's going on in the Chamber, the city, and with your fellow professionals! The 2nd Tuesday of the month at NACC's GML is the place to come to meet referral partners, learn new skills, be supported and stay updated!

    Originally from London, England, Mark brings over 23 years of
    experience in the tourism industry to his role.

    Mark is the President & CEO of Visit Springfield. Mark leads a team of 20
    tourism professionals, responsible for driving economic growth across
    Springfield and its surrounding communities through innovative
    tourism development, impactful sales strategies, and cutting-edge
    marketing initiatives. He joined Visit Springfield in 2023, following a
    successful tenure at Travel Butler County, where his team delivered an
    impressive $60 million in annual economic impact.

    An influential figure in Missouri's tourism landscape, Mark serves on the
    Missouri Route 66 Centennial Commission, the Missouri Association of
    CVB’s Board of Directors, and the History Museum Board of Directors.
    His past contributions include serving on the US Travel Board of
    Directors.

    Mark earned his MS in Sports Management and BS in Business
    Administration and Management from the University of Kentucky. His
    credentials include the Certified Destination Management Executive
    (CDME) from Destinations International and the Certified Sports Event
    Executive from the Sports ETA.

    Beyond his professional achievements, Mark is an avid triathlete, who
    has completed six Ironman triathlons.

    Heather Hermen is a native of Arizona, having relocated to Branson in September of 2024. She holds a bachelor's degree in technical communication, and a master's degree in communication and public relations with a minor in marketing. She most recently served as the CEO of her own marketing and communications agency for 14 years. She chose Branson because of the unique opportunity to work with a destination that is established in the marketplace, has new opportunities through advancing technology to reach new visitors, and her husband and son love to fish.
